SEM Piling

SEM Piling Pty Ltd operates as a specialist mini-piling and underpinning contractor. Services include:

  • Installations of steel-cased mini-piles. These piles have been extensively developed by Foundation Systems for South Australian conditions. Steel-cased mini-piles are used for transferring foundation support to firm underlying strata. Piles are particularly suitable for driving through fill and buried obstructions, silt or water bearing sub-soils. Mini-piles are a common choice for industrial foundations and underpinning. Diameters range from 100mm to 300mm and are concrete filled and reinforced.
  • Underpinning in open or confined spaces. Our skilled workforce undertakes all of the work, using either traditional methods or our own innovative mini-piling system. Piles can be installed in restricted headroom of up to two metres, or other limited-access situations.
  • Upgrading of floor slabs. These can be stabilised by driving pin piles and pressure grouting if necessary.
  • Jacking of structures. We offer piles for leaning structures, which are supported and jacked to an improved, reasonable line and level.
  • Construction of reinforced concrete foundations.
  • Installation of ground beams, floor slabs and pile caps including design to AS2159.
  • General civil engineering. We can construct retaining walls, curtain walls and root barriers using state of the art techniques appropriate to the project conditions.
  • Building services focusing on subsidence repair projects. Much of our work is undertaken under the supervision of consultant engineers in connection with insurance claims.

SEM Traffic specialises in Traffic Management and safety appropriate for both short and long term projects in either city or country areas. Our expertise include:

  • Regulatory Controls.

  • Planning, Preparing and Managing Traffic Guidance Schemes in accordance with the latest Australian Standards AS1742.3 2009 and Department of Transport, Energy and Infrastructure regulations.
