History
SEM Civil was established in South Australia in 1976 as Salisbury Earthmovers Pty Ltd, an earthmoving subcontractor. In 1996 the Company changed its name to SEM Civil Pty Ltd to reflect a shift to civil contracting as a head contractor. In 2000 it acquired CivilCorp Pty Ltd and, in 2002, Foundation Systems, a mini-pile and underpinning/ foundation company. In 2008 it established a joint venture with the SFL Group and, through the entity of SFL-SA Pty Ltd, added screw-piling services to its capabilities. In May 2010 SEM Group again expanded with the addition of a Traffic Control Division.
With our extensive range of civil construction capabilities and resources we can bring broad, cost-effective engineering services to anywhere in South Australia.
Partnering
In our pursuit of enhanced customer satisfaction, we believe that partnering is a winning strategy for both principal and contractor. This is consistent with our philosophy of creating open, long-term, collaborative relationships.
We aim to form partner relationships with all of our clients. This has significant benefits. It draws together project stakeholders focused on the achievement of mutual goals. The benefits include faster decision-making, improved productivity, lower administration costs and avoidance of disputes.
