Director

Joint founder of the company in 1976, Janice has been involved in the civil construction industry for more than 40 years. She has steered the company from its modest beginnings to the multi-skilled organisation that exists today.

Mark Wauer

Business Director

Mark joined the company in 1991. He has advanced from operations coordinator to project manager, estimator and general manager. He has proven project management and estimating track record and is now the director of all the S.E.M. companies.

Kerrie Stolcman

Business Director

Kerrie is a Director of all S.E.M. companies and is responsible to the Board for compiling the Company management and project management performance reports. She is key point of contact with the Company’s external accountants and supervises financial reporting. She holds qualifications in accounting as well as a Bachelor of Commerce.

Stephen Fines-Phillips

Group General Manager

Stephen is an Incorporated Civil Engineer with more that 30 years’ consulting and civil contracting experience in the public and private sectors. Stephen combines his vast experience with strong management skills to provide industry best-practice solutions. He has extensive experience as client, consultant, superintendent and contractor. Stephen has had seats the Board of Directors of Institute of Public Works Engineering (IPWEA) SA Division and the Foundation of the Advancement of Municipal Engineering (FAME) SA Division and from 2009 through to 2014 on the Board of Directors of the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) SA Division.

Aldo Pasin

Group Construction Manager

Aldo is a diverse and professional construction manager and has developed as an important part of SEM since his graduation in 1997. He is a versatile Manager, with an extensive project CV portfolio including extensive local government projects i.e. roadworks, stormwater upgrades, wetlands and creek rehabilitations. He has also successfully completed several SA water projects including sewer and water reticulation and pump station upgrades and installation. Well-versed in requirements for SA Water Infrastructure, Aldo is a strategic-thinking manager who engages with the client to ensure appropriate project outcomes including financial, programming safety and environmental aspects are continually delivered.

Brad Stolcman

Framework Delivery Manager

Brad is S.E.M.’s main contact with SA Water: Responsible for liaising with ALLWater and PMP to achieve all goals set by the SA Water contract, ensuring all projects are completed within time frame and on budget. Brad has had a long and successful career working in the utilities side of S.E.M.’s business and brings to the operation a wealth of experience having managed this contract role for the past 10 years.

Iian Kirk

H.S.E.Q. Manager

Iian has been working within the field of HSEQ for over 20 years and has worked across a broad range of industries:
– Rail
– Port Services
– Transport
– Civil Infrastructure.
Iian’s approach to HSEQ is about effectively engaging staff, contractors, and third parties at all levels to achieve a HSEQ performance that is goal driven by a safety culture for the organisation; and to promote innovation, modern business safety systems and processes and constant safety productivity improvements for the organisation.

John Woollatt

Traffic Operations Manager

John is continually advancing his working knowledge of practices and produces within the Traffic Management and Occupational Health & Safety in the workplace. John aspires to grow in all facets of the industry, embracing more responsibilities in the workplace and the future and exercising all knowledge gained at the highest level which is a standard he always maintains. This standard has accredited him with the success he has already achieved in the industry.
